How many children do you have and what are their age(s)?
Lisa: Two sons, 26 and 21, and a daughter, 24
Donna: Two daughters, 26 and 23, and a son, 20
Julie: Two daughters, 24 and 18, and a son, 20
Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in Morris County?
We are all sisters, born and raised in Florham Park, NJ. Our store is located in Basking Ridge. Lisa currently lives in Florham Park, Julie in Basking Ridge, and Donna in Clinton.
Favorite things to do with your kids?
Lisa: Visiting the Jersey Shore, playing with our mini-golden doodle, and going on family ski trips!
Donna: Playing family card games and going on biking trips
Julie: Traveling and cooking family dinners together
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
We all had separate (and wildly different) careers before opening the store. Donna was a financial planner, Lisa practiced law, and Julie did event planning. We had never worked together professionally, so there’s definitely been a lot of learning (and mishaps!) as we go, but we love every minute of it!
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
Lisa: Definitely my mom, she was somehow always calm and gave the best advice without being pushy. Also my sisters, we were all going through the craziness together, and it helped to know I wasn’t alone!
Donna: My sisters were lifesavers. I would have lost my mind without them helping me every step of the way
Julie: Besides my mom, I think my sisters were the biggest help. As the youngest, I watched what they did, asked lots of questions and received plenty of advice!!

We opened Soul Sisters Boutique in April of 2017 in Basking Ridge, NJ. We have a passion for discovering unique, artisan products that enhance day-to-day living. From this passion grew the desire to create a compelling shopping experience for others. Our diverse offerings include a meticulously curated mix of beautifully crafted jewelry, home goods, apparel, accessories and small batch apothecary.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
The community of Basking Ridge and the surrounding towns have been in our corner since we opened our doors. Actually, even before that! Members of the community helped us with our store renovations, store design, and business planning.
Our customers support us by shopping local and increasing community awareness through word of mouth! We meet new customers every day, who tell us that they heard about us through a friend, family member, or neighbor. We can’t thank this community enough for their endless support!
