How many children do you have and what are their ages?
I have a son, Ryker who is 18 months old, and a step-daughter, Ava, who is 11.
Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in New Jersey?
I am a born and raised Jersey Girl! I grew up in Randolph, and currently live in Chester.
Favorite things to do with your kids?
I love to get out of the house with them as much as possible. When the weather is nicer, Ryker and I constantly go on walks and go to the park. I have a love for baking, which I am trying to pass down to my step-daughter and eventually my son.
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I am usually working more than one job at one time. My norm is to juggle 2+ jobs – not because I have to, but because I love to constantly challenge myself and learn new things. On top of being a Mom, I am currently working part time at as an esthetician at a lash studio, I’m a full time blogger, and occasionally I make chocolate covered oreos for events! I love baking and I usually find a baking book, start at the beginning, and bake through each recipe!
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
OMG I have the most amazing support system. My husband travels quite a bit for work, so I am constantly relying on my family to help me juggle everything that is on my plate. They say it takes a village, and I don’t know how I would do it without everyone’s love and support. From babysitting, to pickups, to always welcoming me at their dinner table, my parents, in-laws, my aunts and uncles, and my cousins have been my saving grace.
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!
I work part time at a lash studio two days a week. However my main project recently has been my personal blog and Instagram. I have been writing a blog for almost 5 years. I recently started to bring that blog to Instagram, and am currently working on building my following. I kind of fell into this business, but I love it so much! I had no idea how much work it was to make a presence on social media, but it has been one thing that has helped me through motherhood. It gives me a purpose all of my own, something to create and build for myself, and it has allowed to make so many new connections. I love being able to share my story, and all the things I’m passionate about. If I can help one other person in some small way, then it was all worth it.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
Blogging is all about your community and making relationships with people. If you don’t connect with your followers, then you ultimately won’t have much growth. This community means everything to me!
