Non Profit Spotlight

As the sixth organization in this important series, we are excited to introduce you to @wcecnj. Their mission is to empower women to invest in themselves via entrepreneurship by providing the resources necessary to own, operate, and grow their businesses.

We are excited to introduce you to Project Readiness. Project Readiness is a 501 (c)(3) organization whose mission is to enable academic success for all of New Jersey’s children, regardless of income level.  New Jersey, like many states, has municipalities in which children of means attend school alongside children at an economic disadvantage.  Data collected by organizations such as the United Way show that this economic disadvantage often translates into an academic disadvantage.  To that end, a student’s family income is one of the most prominent predictors of that student’s SAT score. Also, children of homes with less income are less likely to pursue higher education. 
Project Readiness has the mission of providing students with a year’s complement of age-appropriate school supplies and a new backpack. That student is equipped for the coming academic year with both tangible supplies, and the knowledge that a sponsor believed in their potential enough to make a monetary investment in their schooling.  

We are excited to introduce you to Moms Helping Moms Foundation. Moms Helping Moms Foundation has turned into a large network of passionate, caring, like-minded people who work together to help hundreds of babies and young children each year. Through partnerships with community organizations, social workers, homeless shelters, schools, and others, they have collected and distributed hundreds of thousands of diapers, clothing, formula, nursing supplies, strollers and countless other baby essentials to hundreds of families. Together with their supporters, they are working to end diaper need and fight childhood poverty in New Jersey. 

As our third Non Profit Organization, we are excited to introduce you to ACACNJ. All Children’s Art Center of NJ is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing children of all ages and abilities a safe environment  where they can express themselves artistically. Their goal is to give children the opportunity to explore all  their artistic abilities in one safe, clean and adult supervised environment. From music classes, performing, painting and drawing to creating slime, bath bombs or crafting with clay are just a few of the lots of artistic and creative beautiful things.

We are excited to introduce you to Roots & Wings. Roots & Wings is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Their mission is to provide young adults who age out of the New Jersey foster care system with safe housing, educational support, case management, counseling, and life skills in order to empower motivated individuals toward self-sufficiency.
